Empowering individuals through music.
Adapted Music Lessons
Rhythm Music Therapy is excited to now offer adapted music lessons, delivered by experienced therapists and qualified musicians who specialise in strengths-based, neuroaffirming approaches.

Adapted music lessons are personalised music sessions designed to support individuals who may benefit from a more flexible, inclusive, and therapeutic approach to learning music. These lessons are led by trained therapists or educators who understand diverse learning needs and use a strengths-based, neuroaffirming framework to guide their teaching.

Unlike traditional music lessons, adapted lessons are not solely focused on technical skills or progressing through a standard curriculum. Instead, they are tailored to the individual's goals, interests, and pace—whether that’s building confidence, improving coordination, supporting communication, or simply enjoying the joy of making music.

Adapted lessons may include:
Playing instruments in creative and accessible ways
Using visual supports or movement to aid learning
Incorporating sensory regulation or emotional expression
Exploring improvisation, songwriting, or favourite songs
Adjusting teaching methods to suit neurodiverse ways of processing
These sessions are ideal for children, teens, or adults who may be neurodivergent, have a disability, or simply thrive in a more personalised, supportive learning environment.

All music lessons are $85 per hour, with travel fees applicable for home visits.
