Brad is a passionate and dedicated music therapist who values creativity, connection, and the unique role music plays in people’s lives. Originally from the UK, Brad moved to Brisbane in 2024 to continue his work as a Registered Music Therapist (RMT), accredited by the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA).

Brad completed his Master of Arts (MA) in Music Therapy at the University of Roehampton in London and holds a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Artist Development & Songwriting from the Academy of Contemporary Music. His training was psychodynamically informed, which means he focuses on understanding the emotional world behind behaviour and how past experiences can influence the present. This approach helps Brad support clients to express themselves in meaningful ways, especially when words might not come easily.

Alongside his academic training, Brad brings over nine years of experience working in special education, supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, developmental differences, and complex needs.

With a background in performance, Brad is a multi-instrumentalist who plays mainly guitar and drums. He sang in a pop rock band throughout his teens and later drummed in an rock group during his twenties, experiences that deeply shaped his understanding of music’s emotional power and communicative strength. Brad draws on these roots in his therapeutic work.

Throughout his journey, Brad has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a wide range of settings, including homes, schools and therapy spaces. He is passionate about building therapeutic relationships and supporting each individual’s goals through thoughtful, accessible, and engaging musical experiences.

Outside of his work as a music therapist, Brad enjoys travelling, scuba diving, exploring Australia’s coastlines and culture, and learning to surf! He also has an interest in music production and enjoys experimenting with recording techniques and sound design in his free time.
